Prof. Colin Hughes MBA Professor of Applied Geoscience in the School of Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences, University of Manchester. Prof Hughes has industrial experience in the petroleum industry, radioactive waste management, clay mineralogy and environmental geology.
Prof. David Manning CGeol - Professor of Soil Science, University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Professor Manning specialises in soil mineralogy (including soil carbon), industrial mineralogy, chemical hydrogeology, mineral/waste reactions and re-use of mineral by-products.
Prof. Jon Lloyd - Professor of Geomicrobiology in the School of Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences, University of Manchester. Prof Lloyd specialises in microbiology and environmental biotechnology, with considerable experience in the application of novel microbial processes for the treatment of organic and inorganic contaminants.
Mr. Alastair Clark BSc MSc - Buisiness Development Officer, based in Manchester. Mr Clark is currently investigating the potential impact of Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA), used as part of an engineered landfill barrier system, on the environment. His previous research experience includes work on blended cement degradation and also the reaction between cement and radionuclides / clay mineral assemblages.
